Countif or another Solution Needed

I have data in:

Column P Column V
DIV# CODE
5 M
6 T
8 5
11 P
42 O

I want to count the number of occurrences in column P that matches "5" if
there is an "M" in column V.

=SUMPRODUCT((P16=5)*(V1:V6="M"))
