CountIF with multiple criteria

Here is an example of what I'm trying to achieve.
Count how many times Region="UK" AND Customer Satisfaction="1 - poor".

Region Customer Satisfaction
UK 1 - Poor
USA 1 - Poor
UK 2 - Good
UK 3 - Excellent
USA 2 - Good
UK 1 - Poor

If you search for "CountIF with multiple criteria" in XL Help, you'll
find one of the entries is the COUNTIFS() function, e.g.:

=COUNTIFS(range1,"UK",range2,"1*")
