CRAM-MD5 secure login

In your account setup, enable secure connections. Entourage is apparently
capable of using CRAM-MD5.

Where is this "enable secure connections" option?

I enabled "SMTP service requires secure connection" for sending but then I
get an error.

I enabled "Always use secure connection" for receiving but that doesn't work
either.

Try the SSL checkbox.

I'm just stabbing in the dark here because I can't seem to get to
EarthLink's official instructions.

Have you talked to EarthLink? What instructions are they giving you for
account setup? EarthLink is Apple's preferred ISP and Entourage is a popular
program. They should have instructions.
