Problem is that the old machine died using outlook then the owner bought a
new machine with outlook EXpress on it. What file do we have to grab from
the old HD to get address book (contacts) and convert to import into Outlook
Express?

I thought it was the pst file but am told otherwise but not what file it is
nor how to convert it. Appreciate your thoughts.

There is no address book. All Outlook data is stored in one file. It is a
PST file. You cannot convert it to OE's format.
You'd have to export the Contacts Folder to a format that OE can import such
as CSV.

Russ, is there way for me to have a 2nd profile or identity in Outlook so
I can use the .pst file without mixing it in with my other? And if so, then
a way to get rid of it?
