Crashed...now can't synch Entourage with Palm

I am not able to sync my Palm with Entourage. I seem to have the Palm
file downloaded and the Entourage conduits, but it still was not
working. So I am attempting to again down load the Palm Desktop.
Upon almost finishing the install, I get an error message saying,
"Installation did not complete successfully. Do you wish to quit or
attempt install again?" Hmmmm. I also tried to intall Entourage's
Handheld Sync from http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/
entouragex/using.aspx?pid=usingentouragex&type=howto&article=/
mac/library/feature_articles/officex/en_ps2_setup.xml

This brings up an error saying, "The installation failed because
Microsoft Component Plugin was not found." This is also odd since I
found it when I searched in the Finder.

What is the best way to get them synced? Should I trash all Palm and
Entourage Conduits and start over? If so, what is the best way to go
about this? Thanks.

First, make sure your installation of Office is up to date by installing all
the updates to bring Office up to 10.1.5. The latest update is available
here:

Half way down th epage are links to earlier updates if you are missing
those.

Then, run 'Repair Remissions'. Open up the 'Disk Utility' in your
/Applications/Utilities folder, select the startup disk and hit the 'repair
permissions' button.

Now, try to re-install again.
