Creating a tree menu for a Word doc

I wonder if this is possible...but is there such a thing as a vb script to
place a tree menu in the left hand side of a Word doc ?

I tried using the framed document approach, but I find two pitfalls :

1. The .doc that you call from the TOC page automatically switches to the
"view as web page" format, thus altering the document's looks and
disposition.

2. I don`t find very practical the hyperlink modality of having to press
CTRL and left clicking to navigate to another doc, especially for audiences
accustomed to handling Word only for writing simple texts. If I remember
correctly, Word 2000 links were handled with just a simple click.

Any hints ? Thanks to you all...

In word 2k+ you can do this with a modal form.

G'day "Gus Collot" <[email protected]>,

When you design a VBA UserForm, it has Properties. One of these, in
word 2k+, is the modal property. Amodal forms freeze the interface
behind. Modal forms let you have a form up whilst able to work on Word
dox.
