Creating accounts that aren't checked for new mail...

Using Outlook 2003 I have set up several accounts with different reply
addresses (such as [email protected] [not a real address],
[email protected], etc.). The purpose was so that when I replied to a
particular message I could send it with the proper reply address (instead of
my default address).

I only have two email accounts that actually receive mail from different
servers and one is a catch-all account for [email protected] which would
get all the messages sent to nowhere.com.

My question is how to disable those accounts from checking for incoming mail
OR is there a better way to set things up so I can have an easily changed
reply address? I hope this made some sense. Thanks in advance.

In the settings for the send/receive groups you can enable/disable sending
or receiving for any email account.

Ctrl+Alt+S to open the dialog. Select the send/receive group and click on
Edit. Select the email accounts you want and check or uncheck Send mail
items and Receive mail items.

Ken,

Thanks! That was just what I was looking for and it works perfectly...

Proper reply address is without the text -REMOVE-
In the settings for the send/receive groups you can enable/disable
