Creating hotlinks in Entourage

As a newbie to the Mac world, I wonder why Entourage doesn't automatically
create an underlined hotlink (e.g. www.newworld.com) when entered in a
note (as it did in Outlookxp in Windows). I have all the latest updates
installed.

Because you need to specify http:// to tell Entourage it is a web address.
FWIW, you can Cmd-click on any text URL such as the one above and Entourage
will send it to the default web browser.
