css not showing in preview

Rowena

I am trying to add a backgroung image top left, non-
tiling. It's showing in Normal page view (I was so
delighted!), but not in preview or browser - help.

I'm typing in BODY section
<style type="text/css">
body
{
background: url(GWBGyell.JPG)no-repeat;
background-position: top left;
}
</style>

Thanks in advance, Rowena.

URLs in CSS files use a relative path from the CSS file, not the page
itself. So in your case, the GWBGyell.jpg file would need to be in the same
directory as the CSS file calling it.

Hi John - if you're still there!
I don't understand the css file bit. I'm using frontpage
2002, how do I go about creating a css file? I would be
over the moon to see the bg image in preview. PLEASE make
my day! I'm still learning...
Best wishes, Rowena.

Place the style section between the head tags.

Never mind Rowena, I thought you were using an external CSS file. My
comment will only complicate things, so ignore it :)

I think the other two posts to your query might help you more.
