Ctrl+click to select text

I used to be able to select various pieces of text throughout a
textbox/table/placeholder by holding the Ctrl key while selecting. This was
handy when I had to change the case of several words scattered around on a
slide. Now I seem to have to do each word separately which takes quite a bit
longer.

I go on vacation, come back, and something is different. I don't get it. Any
ideas?

Wow. I've never done this that I can recall, and a quick test here in PPT
2000 and 2003 doesn't let me, either. Holding CTRL while clicking a word
actually selects the whole line for me. ALT doesn't do anything, and SHIFT
selects all the text in-between clicks.

Hopefully someone else will have some ideas.

J,
Are you sure this was in PowerPoint, I do not recall this was ever possible
in any PowerPoint version. In Word you can do that easily starting with
version 2002.
I tested here in version 2003 and it does not work as you described, Dutch
version that is.

Yep, I'm sure. I do lots of ppt presentations here and lots of case changing
since everyone seems to be in love with Title Case. It was so handy.

I guess I'm stumped then. Darn.
