Curious registry entries

S

Stephen Quist

Hi all,

I was looking though my registry and came across a number of entries with
values like this:
(f'^Vn-}f(YR]eAR6.jiWORDFiles>L&rfUmW.cG.e%fI4G}jd /n /f /dde
under HCR\Applications\WINWORD.EXE\shell\New\command with
the key "command" also.

That one happens to be for Word, but Excel, MSPub, Outlook, PhotoEd,
Powerpoint, Visio, Project and a couple of non-MS programs have
similar entries.

A lot of other programs don't have such entries. What are they for? Is there
any way to make sense of them?

Thanks,

Steve
