Custom Categories Outlook 2002

Have a user that has created custom categories in Outlook
200. His assistant has Outlook 2000. When she went into
the contacts the custom categories got all messed out. I
have found the article about custom categories not
transferring from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2002. But what
about vice versa? If I correct the problem by editing
the registry and migrating the custom categories from
machine to machine is the problem going to happen again
because they are using different versions of Outlook?
