Custom Field - Graphical Indicators

I have a difficulty implementing in using the other options mentioned in
"Graphical Indicators" Indicator Criteria

How do you set the indicator criteria to stay put using the other options
for "Summary Row" or "Summary Rows inherit criteria from non summary rows".

Anytime I apply the settings, close the window and get back to check the
criteria, it always defaults to "Non summary rows" and it is frustrating.

I have a formula criteria mentioned in a custom field that would result in a
"Text value" and I'm trying set a graphical indicator criteria base on the
generated Text value from a formula.

Please kindly assist as I'm kind of stuck. Any help is greatly appreciated

I think you are misunderstanding the "Graphical Indicators" setup page.

You need to specify the settings for all three options (i.e. task levels) in
this page:
1) Nonsummary rows
2) Summary rows
3) Project Summary

At the lowest level (Nonsummary rows) you can set your graphical indicator
conditions. Then toggle to (Summary rows) and check the box to inherit from
nonsummary rows. Then toggle to (Project Summary) and check the box to
inherit from summary rows.

This of course would be the process if you want the graphical indicators to
be the same at all levels. Otherwise, don't set it to inherit and specify
different graphical indicators at the summary rows and project summary row
levels if you wish.
