Custom Field - Yes/No/None why None?

R

R Avery

When defining a custom field in Outlook XP, set the type as Yes/No, how
come the default for the field is (none) rather than No? Is there
anyway to change this behavior (set the default value)?

It is quite annoying since I have items grouped by this particular
field, and whenever I try to mark it as "No", I click the icon and it
changes from (none) to "Yes" and sorts accordingly. Then I have to find
the particular task and click it again to change it to "No". Any help
would be most appreciated.

(None) means that the field has never held any data value and is actually
null. Try dragging the item from the (None) group to the No group. If you
are using a custom form to create items that have this custom field, you can
set the initial value on the Properties dialog for the control bound to this
field.
