custom filter

Hello Dear,
I am saving a custom filter by giving a name to the new filter hoping that
the new filter will appear in the drop down bottom as part of the other
filters but it is not!
any suggestion is greately appreciated.

Edit the filter you created, next to the name (on the right) - cick the "Show
in Menu" check box.

Hi Majid,

Project/Filterer for.../More filters.../ select your filter/Edit.../and
check Show in menu.

Thank jou for helping me on this. But the custom filter does not detect the
property of the column!! For i.e my column property is Finish 1. It seems
it is detecting the start? I checked the setting and it seems everything is
okay
Any suggestion is appreciated

Hi Majid,

As I see it, your formula will detect all tasks whose Finish1 field has the
date 1/1/05, AND (did you mean AND or OR, but not YES?) additionally all
those whose Finish1 field is 1/3/05. Doesn't seem to me to be of much use.
What are you actually trying to display?

Hello Mike,
you're right. it is AND not yes.
What I want to do is basically I want to have a custom filter displayed and
pre defined for certain period i.e. dates on the FINISH 1 columns (
deliverables ) to be used equally by team members. becasue the period for
every report is different I like to preset it so that every team memebr
filter that. but it seems the filter is picking up the start of the project
not detecting the FINISH 1!!

Hi Majid, I'm finding it difficult to understand what you want. What is in
the Finish1 field? A custom filter cannot be displayed. When you use a
filter, the displayed data is based on the formula in the filter. Do you
want to display all tasks whos finish date is a specific date? Do you want
a different filter for each of the team members?

Please clarify.
