Custom Show - Preventing Close and Return

D

I have a presentation with a custom show inside. When I run the Custom show
via hyperlink I want to be able to scroll back and forth through the 4 slides
as the discussion progresses without fear of it either going to the Close
screen or returning to the original screen.

I only want it to return to the original screen when I click a hyperlinked
object on one of the screens.

Is this possible?
Best regards
Dave

What you can do is to loop the presentation so that when linked to the custom
show, you will loop through the 4 slides instead of the custom show returning
to the original slide.

To achieve this, click Slide show > Set Up Show.
Put a checkmark to loop continuously until 'esc'.
OK your way out.

Now go to 4th slide in the custom show, put a hyperlink that ends the show.
Is that what you were looking for?

A much better way to do this is to have two separate shows. Call the second
from within the first by using an action button hyperlinked to other
powerpoint presentation.

On the master slide for the second presentation put an action button linked
to "end show". You can then move around this presentation as you wish. Press
end show and you will be back where you left the original show.

You're correct Tohlz.

This technique has helped solve a problem I had too, I'd never used the
custom showw option!
