Customizing Design Templates

Bryan Weller

I've been trying to create custom design templates for our company by placing
our company logo and other symbols on the slide master. When I do this, it
looks good and is fine for awhile, but eventually comes the day when all the
text smooshes together into one vertical line. When I put the presentation
back to a pre-designed template, it's fine again. I don't know what is
causing this or how to prevent it. Can someone help?

Sounds like you using one of the later versions of PowerPoint. Before you start
messing with your template, Click on Tools | Autocorrect Options, and remove the
checkmark from automatic layout for inserted objects.
