customizing office 2003 Pro... removing update ability

Im building a .MST using the CIW. One of the "items" i'm
looking to modify is removing/hiding all update (IE.
update from MS site) ablilty for office 2003 PRO.
Annyone done this before?..and if so..please help..thanks

Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]

You would do this in the policies set on the OS, not in Office. Likewise
for the Windows Update, you would use the system policies as well.

You can set the BlockUpdates policy to prevent updates from OfficeUpdate.
I'm not sure where this is in the CIW, but you can set the key here:

Group Policy Key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\
Microsoft\Office\Common\OfficeUpdate\BlockUpdates
Type
DWORD
Values
1 = Block Updates from Applying
0/Not Present = Allow Updates to be applied

Thanks for the reply....I've looked through policy
settings are can't seem to lock down where I'd make this
modification.....if you have any pointeres, that would be
