Customizing Outlook

L

Larry Newton

I installed Outlook 2003 this evening. I use Outlook w/Windows 2000 at
work, so I'm adjusting to the different graphical interface.

Two questions:

Is there a way to remove the "favorite folders" from left side of the
screen?

Can I remove the name of the day in the Inbox? I would rather have all
messages sorted by day, rather than have it show what messages were received
on Weds, Tues, Mon., etc.

Thanks!

G'Day Larry,

1. "Favorite Folders is available only in the Mail pane.
The Favorite Folders pane cannot be removed, hidden,
or resized. It is not possible to display Favorite Folders
in other panes, such as Folder List." (Word online help.)

2. Having selected Inbox, you see a second pane with your
e-mails grouped - Today, Yesterday etc.

In THAT pane, (Left-or-Right) click the Header
"Arranged By: Date".

At the very bottom of the shortcut Menu that appears
click on "Show in Groups" to de-select it.

View menu > Arrange By > Uncheck "Show in Groups"
