HOW TO SELECT THE MOST RECENT 20 ENTRIES FROM A LIST ,
THEN AVERAGE THE LOWEST 10 FROM THOSE 20 ?

Hi
how are your most recent elements determined? Is there a date column or
are they always the last 20 elements?. For the latter one use a formula
such as:
=AVERAGE(SMALL(OFFSET($A$1,COUNTA(A:A)-1,0,-10),{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10})
)
