Data on server (as seen by Web Access) doesn't match what I seein Entourage; why??

I'm using Entourage V.X on a Mac with OS X 10.3 to access our company's
Exchange server. Everything works pretty well, but I just noticed two odd
mismatches between what I see from my Entourage client, and what I see using
OWA - Outlook Web Access, which is a web interface to our server. First,
even though I copied all of the sent messages to a local folder, and they
disappeared from the "Sent folder" on the server (as viewed in Entourage), I
can still see a whole bunch of them under the "Sent folder" view in OWA. Why
weren't they taken off the server, and why does Entourage think they were?
Also, in addressbook, OWA shows me a whole bunch of my contacts, but they
are kind of old. I know they got there at some point, but when I change
entries in my addressbook on Entourage, they're not making it up to the
server for some reason. Is the Entourage addressbook local to my computer or
is it kept on the server? If it's not purely local (and I don't think it is,
since most of my entries seem to be on the server), how do I get it to
update it to the exchange server? Thanks in advance for any help.

This appears to be in the process of becoming a 'frequently reported issue'.
Unfortunately, there is no fix at this time.

amazing! Does Entourage 2004 fix this problem? Maybe I should upgrade.

No, people with 2004 are also reporting this problem.

It's not a huge problem, but there have been a few reports.
