Database damaged

My office database is damaged. When I'm trying to rebuild the database,
it's always during the final step (copying the date) that the database
rebuild program does not respond anymore and in order to proceed, I have to
force to quit the program.

I have repeated this step several times, and always with the same
result.

Any help is appreciated.

As part of the rebuilding process, Entourage creates a second database file.
It's possible you don't have the space on your hd to do the rebuild.

Quit any applications that are running, including virus-protection
applications, all Office applications, Microsoft Messenger for Mac, and
Office Notifications, because they might interfere with rebuilding. How to
quit Notifications.

See this page for help with a corrupt database that will not rebuild.

I suggest you archive off as much data as possible while Entourage will
still open.
