I'm getting an error message saying that most likely my database
cannot be rebuilt. Tried advanced rebuild and everything. Any
suggestions?

Yesterday I posted these steps for somebody in a similar position...
Oh dear, this isn't looking very promising.

First, make sure you have updated to Office v 10.1.5. Check that this file:
Macintosh HD/Applications/Microsoft Office X/Office/Microsoft ComponentPlugin
Is at version 10.1.5

Next, delete the folder 'Microsoft' in the folder ~/Library/Preferences

Go into the Microsoft User data folder, and look in the 'Office x Identities'
folder and into the folder for your problem identity.
You will probably find several databases in there, named 'Database', 'Old
Database' etc, and the cache file named similarly.
Find the oldest of these that existed before you tried all this rebuilding,
and move the others out of the folder - put them somewhere safe in case you
need to restore them again. Rename these two as 'Database' and 'Database
Cache' once again. (These backup files are automatically created when you
launch a rebuild action).

Also turn off 'Office Notifications' and quit all office apps.

Restart the computer while holding down the shift key to disable third party
KEXTs.

Now, try the advanced rebuild again, and good luck!
