database repair Entourage X

I seem to remember the size limitation for database for Entourage X is
2GB for early versions and 4GB for later versions. I found verification
of this in the MVPS site (referenced from the public group, discovered
in Google Groups).

I have a database (Entourage 10.1.6) that is 2.7GB and having problems
with message duplication (Exchange Server), but still opens.
Database 'Simple Rebuild' fails with an error EOF reached.


Should I run an Advanced Rebuild, or can I immediately upgrade this to
Entourage 11?

(We have a backup from yesterday, though that one is probably >2GB too.)

I would suggest you run an Advanced Rebuild, since the original database
should be kept as a backup in case the rebuild goes bad.
