Database Size and Rebuild

My entourage database is 2.19 GB and I cannot rebuild it because I get
an error message that says I do not have enough disk space. I have 14
GB of free space which should be sufficient to allow a rebuild. I did
a Disk Doctor and Speed Disk defrag to optimize the disk, but still
get the lack of disk space error message.

Any suggestions? I really need to recover the emails in that database.

You didn't mention which version of Entourage you are using. You can view
size limits on rebuild different versions of Entourage here:

I am using Entourage 2001. But I have tried to rebuild the database in
2004 and I still am not able to recover any of my emails. Is there a
way to recover these email messages with a more sophisticated
technique or service? Thanks.
