Hi!

I'm moving from an iMac with 10.1.5 to a new Powerbook with 10.3. I
use Entourage 10.1.4.

I tried to copy the Office X Identities folder to a disk to copy it to
my new computer but the database is too big. The disk will take 660
MB but my database is 683 MB.

How can I get this transferred to my new computer?

Thank you for your help!!

Delete any large attachments you don't need, then do a typical rebuild
(compact) to reclaim the space.

To find & delete attachments, set up an advanced search on all folders to
look for messages where 'size' is greater than 2048k - this will present you
with a single list of messages with bog attachments across all folders. Sort
the list by size (you may need to select that column for display under the
View|columns menu), and go through in order selecting 'remove attachments'
from the message menu where appropriate (this can be done with multiple
messages selected)

Diane,

You can move files between computers using a regular old LAN cable, or even
a firewire cable between them. Both have Ethernet connections (and probably
firewire if I recall correctly. If both are Airport enabled, you can do it
right through the air.

Consult your Mac Help if you need specific information.

This link has some good info:

Happy tranferring! ;-)
