Date format

There are approximately 250,000,000 Americans in the world, most of whom use
the mm/dd/yyyy format for dates. There are around 6,000,000,000 people who
don't. I am one of them and would find it very helpful were you to start
using a neutral date format that most people would not get confused by. You
could usefully start by having dates indicated in these forums as, e.g.
2006--3-26.
Thank you.
