date time average

I have a spreadsheet where info was downloaded, (in column
E I have a begdate) (col F the begtime), (col G the
enddate) and (Col H the end time). I want to get a result
that will tell me how long it took to book someone. One
problem I'm having is in the time column it is formatted
custom and when I try to change it to time I get 0's.
Plese help.

how is the time column formated exactly. Please provide some sample
data

02/01/04 1301 02/01/04 1420

The time is formatted as custom 0000, when I try to format
to time (13:01) it changes everything to 00:00 and I'm
trying to do the calculation below. Please help
