I have set my setting to HTML for outgoing email. However the color of the
font stays black till I change it manually in the message format window. How
do I set a default color for the font? I guess Im missing something here-

Thanks,
Ajay

Only the assumption that this is possible. It isn't.

you could check out the "Message Template X" script on

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

which allows you to do something like this, and more.

Lol.
And what reason is there for this particular non allowance?

€The programmers were tired and forgot.
€The programmers had too much Jolt Cola and it slipped their minds.
€It was too complicated to fit in.
€It didn't occur to anyone to begin with.
€It is unwise to use HTML as a default, so why encourage it?

Once upon a time, probably at least two beings knew: the original programmer
and God. Now, only God knows.

Cheers,
