Decimal space problem with FP insert database

J

john elfrank

When I insert a database and link to an Excel file in the
fpdb folder, calculated fields show several decimal
spaces. Even though I have the decminal spaces under
control in Excel, they come out on the front page results
page.

Is there any way of controling this so there are no
decimal spaces in the calculated fields of my linked
Excel file?

Thanks in advance,

John

Sadly, the database results wizard has no built-in
facility for formatting numeric fields.

The alternative is to specify a custom query that does the
formatting you want within the SQL statement. Here's an
example:

SELECT Format([dollaramt],"#,##0") As damount, ...

You would then configure the DRW to display the calculated
damount field.
