default browser change

After installing 10.3 my default browser somehow changed to an earlier
version of Netscape I had sitting on my hard drive. In case that
happens to you open Safari, go to preferences and there you can change
your default browser. It took me three days to figure that out. How
long did it take you?

Nice of them wasn't it?

A third party alternative (freeware) is to use "More Internet". "More
Internet" is a System Preferences pane that uses Internet Config to allow
you to choose which applications are set as helpers for internet protocols
(i.e. which application will be chosen to handle which URL.)

In 10.2 or 10.3, I use IC-Switch:
http://flip.macrobyte.net/software/

It is fairly easy to use, odes not require to be installed as a PrefPane
and allows you to easely switch between selected application from a
menu.
Clearly my favorite :)))

It's very nice indeed. You can also use it from the menu bar to switch to
different applications if needed.

Yeah, I like the simplicity and ease of use of this app. And look in the
"about" box :)))))
