Default Contacts - dotMac vs.Exchange Account?

I guess I'm lucky because Entourage and Exchange 2003 are doing great.

But I also have a dotMac account in the same profile. Does anyone know how to make my Exchange accounts contacts the Entourage default contacts rather than the local contacts? Or is there a way to tell Entourgae to sync the Exchange accounts contacts to my OS X address book? Same deal with the calendars - I'd like to sync the Exchange calendar instead of the local one. A solution would be greatly appreciated.

Other than that Evefrythings working perfectly - I can get my Exchange account anywhere in or out of the office.

Go to Tools --> Accounts and select your Exchange account. Then click
the "Make Default" button. Then your Exchange account, Contacts and
Calendar will be the default options.

When syncing, you can choose either your Exchange or local contacts and
calendar for syncing independently of each other. Look in Entourage menu
--> Preferences... --> Sync Services and choose from the appropriate
dropdown menus.

Thanks Bill,

That worked just fine. Now I remember why I had my dotMac account set as default - I need all emails sent from Entourage to come from that address and I got tired sending from the wrong email address. But now my Exchange Cal and Contacts are syncing great. DO you know any way to change the default From email address but keep the Cal and Contacts from the Exchange account? If there is, I haven't spotted it. Thanks Again, Mike

Glad to hear that worked for you, Mike!

I'm trying to wrap my head around your new problem. You use Exchange but
you want your messages to appear as if they're coming from .Mac? Your
Exchange Server probably wouldn't allow that and consider you to be a
spammer.

Or are you looking for the preference in Entourage (Entourage menu -->
Preferences... --> Mail & News Preferences --> Reply & Forward) to Reply
using the default account?

If you're using .Mac IMAP then whichever account (IMAP or Exchange)
you're clicked into at the time will be the sending account. You may be
interested in trying to include a Reply-To header so that replies are
directed where you want. In your accounts... settings (Tools -->
Accounts --> Options) you can add an additional header:

Reply-To : [email protected]
