Default File Extension

I am selling my car... I'd like to post a URL that will
be very simple for an interested party to enter for data
on the car. If my website were abcde.com, could I list a
URL like abcde.com/car ?

And if so, what would the total file name of the HTML
page on the site need to be...? car.htm or car.html or
car.??? I would expect to put the page in the root... but
can't seem to figure what to name it and have it open...
(without expecting the user to enter a filename with
extension.)

THANKS for any advice...

Right... that is the name for the main page... but I was
looking to create a direct link to a special page that
only brings up the car page... Must I specifiy Car.HTM if
I want to enable someone to get direct access to that
special page....?

It can be:
abcde.com/car
this will bring up the default.htm page
defualt.htm is where you put your car page.
Note: /car/ is a folder.
Or
It can be:
abcde.com/car/default.htm
