default slide

hi community

can anybody kindly guide me on how to reset my PowerPoint -

- whenever I click the "New", the presentation first slide have some design
background on it.

- what I want is just the default slide, that is with nothing on the
background, just the title and subtile boxes

Close PPT. Then search for and delete Blank Presentation.POT or Blank.POT
(depending on your version of PPT). PPT will recreate it from scratch when
you start it again.

The slides Echo mentions are likely to be in c:\documents and settings\your
name\application data\microsoft \templates

Note some may be hidden slides in windows explorer go to tools>folder
options >view >tick show hidden folders / files

If the files do not exist - in powerpoint XP/2003 > slide design pane
(available for use) RIGHT click the default template and choose use for all
new presentations
