Define view, group by, scream

I am attempting to define a view for my Sent Items folder in Outlook XP on a
Win XP Pro system.

I have the messages grouped by [Sent] and then by [To:], with the intent of
having all of the messages I sent today grouped together, then messages to
each individual grouped under that. Outlook is insisting on grouping the
sent items by date and time instead of by date only. I have formatted the
columns to show date only and they do - but only at the bottom of each
grouping tree.

Is it possible to group these messages by date only and not the time?
