This problem is similar to a 11/25/04 post.
At support.microsoft.com one of the articles describes this phenomon. It is
Artcile ID: 839883. It states:
"When you open or when you save a Microsoft Office 2003 document and browse
folders that reside on a domain-based Distributed File System (DFS) share,
there may be a delay of between five and fifteen seconds before the File list
box is populated with files and folders for the Open dialog box or for the
Save as dialog box." Microsoft inicates this probelm is fiexed when you
apply Windows XP SP2. As a matter of fact Microsft indicates in the article
that the problem is fixed with SP1. I successfully applied SP2 and the
problem remains. I upgradeed to Microsoft Office 2003 SP1. Still the
problem remains. Has anyone out there had similar problems and resolved it?

Thanks :)

Thanks!! I guess I need to be diligent and disconnect those drives that I am
no actively using on a session on the computer or over the Internet.
