delayed calculation

Hi,

Not sure about this but I think it might work for you.
I'm sure if not, someone will jump in here and give us
both a lesson.....:)

Try combining in an "OR" function the formula you want run
on one of the four quarterly dates. You'll have to use
the numerical value for the four dates......i.e. Jan-1 =
37987....Apr 1 = 38078....Jul 1 = 38169....Oct 1 = 38261

Would look something like this, I think:

=IF(OR(A1=37987,A2=38078,A3=38169,A4=38261),"your formula
here",""))

In the above example, put the today function "=Today()" in
cells A1 thru A4.......or change the references to
whatever cells you choose to use.

Please step in here if I have something wrong guys/gals.

HTH,

Don

hello,
In my workshhet I have 7 columns. fist is deposite, 2nd
is rate%, 3rd, 4th and 6th are the quarterly payment i
have to make, 7th is the balnce. the formula for the
quarterly payment is (a*b) and for the balance is (a-
(a*b)).
Now the problem is when I put the formula for quarterly
payment column all the quarterly payment are calculted
and deducted long before the begening of the quarter.
What I am looking for is a formula which calculates
quarterly payment only at the begening of the quarter not
before ( for eg, quarterly payment for 4th quarter should
be calculated only on 1st of Oct not before)
Is this possible without using VB. If has to be used
please be kind enough to give one example. I am using
excel 2003.
