delete blocked text inactive cannot reactivate - message delete b.

When a block of text is highligted it wont delete - a message appears in the
bottom left of the screen saying - Delete Block? No (Yes). When I clock Yes
(or No for that matter) it just disappears and the highlighted block remains.
I can still delete a single letter at a time if it is not highlighted.

Thanks in advance

Hi Paul,

If this is in a Word version prior to 2003
see if turning off the Wordperfect settings
in Tools=>Options=>General
helps.

Word 2003 still has the WP options.

Removing them was discussed for this version but thankfully they kept
them since an add-in or template is turning them - it's happening far
too often for it to be user error.

Perhaps you are thinking of the German version (I think that's the
one) where they *did* remove the options from the interface and
unfortunately they have to use a little VBA to get them turned off.
