Delete permanently on IMAP

Just discovered that the "Delete permanently" directive in a rule doesn't
work for IMAP servers. :-( The message gets only a "regular" delete. Has
anyone been able to confirm that "Delete permanently" does work with IMAP?
Or that "blocked senders list" does? (It doesn't for me...)
