Deleted Calendar in Entourage X

In the last 2 months I have had 2 users calendars just disappear. All
their mail and contacts are still there, but the calendar is empty. To
make things even weirder we are connected to Exchange server 2003 and
everything was on that calendar. I tried to reset syncrnazation but it
just doubled up all my email. Everything has worked great up to this
point with Entourage and Exchange 2003.

I use the calendar in Entourage X with and exchange server. Every
time we move to a new month Entourage or the exchange server deletes
the past months events. My calendar has no events for previous
months. It would seem that there must be a setting somewhere to stop
this unwanted process.

Are you quite sure they didn't try to access their Exchange account from a
second computer or second identity in Entourage which had an empty calendar?
That would do it.

PLEASE always state which version of Entourage you are using - 2001 or X.
It's often impossible to answer your questions otherwise.

I went into look up an address and the program acted like I was
starting fresh and had never used it before! Everything was gone.
Earlier in the day one of my calendar events popped up even...any
ideas?

I have been having the same problem. Its now happened to me several
times and its horrifying in how much time I have to waste to recover.

I've now had a repeating problem where my calendar items get
completely wiped out periodically (and unpredictably). Usually first
my calendar items in Entourage gets wiped out, but are still there in
the Exchange Web interface. Sometimes, it will resync and put the
items from Exchange back into Entourage. Most times, it just ends up
wiping both out where I have nothing in ether.

I have no idea how to track this down. Are there log files to look at?
Is there any way to recover my calendar info (it wipes out EVERYTHING,
my entire event history). How can I prevent this from happening again?

I am running Windows 2003/Exchange 2003 on some HP server (its not
under my control), Mac OS X 10.3.3, Microsoft Office v. X 10.1.5 on a
Powerbook G4.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

OSX 10.2.8, Entourage 10.1.4, Exchange server (of some sort)
I too have had this problem. It has been some time since it happened last
(knock wood) I think it happened to me twice. Once it was recovered off of
the server, the second time the server version was lost as well, but by then
I had learned how to backup the database and subsequently only lost some
data. I would like to know if there is a way to automate a back-up of the
database. Maybe a script? (which I know nothing about)

Anyone have any suggestions?

It just did it to me again. Its horrible waste of my time to have to keep recovering from these problems

Data destruction should be considered a top priority bug

On a related note, my contacts seem to keep growing duplicates from Exchange. Another continuous mess I have to keep cleaning up. I must have lost days of productivity over the last few months having to keep cleaning up the mess that Exchange keeps creating in my Entourage contacts and calendars

Please someone help resolve this problem.
