I inadvertently deleted a few of my contacts from my address book and would like to know if there is a way to retrieve them.

I inadvertently deleted a few of my contacts from my address book and would
like to know if there is a way to retrieve them.

Sorry, but the answer is no. You need to start a backup strategy. It's so
easy to export contacts, there is no need not to do so.

Use this workflow in Automator.

Select action "export Entourage contacts"

Select folder where you want to save.

Save as Plug in for iCal.

Edit event in iCal to when and how often you want to backup. I do this
weekly.

To backup the entire Identity, see these tutorials.

Entourage and Time-Machine-like backup (creates chronological backup of
Identity can be used by both Tiger and Leopard)
