Deleted folder

Is there a way to force the folder to empty. I think i've got a
corrupt message or messages. When I try to move or delete them, the
program gives a mail erro message then freezes up and i either have to
quit or force quit to get back in.

I am having the same problem with an email that I sent. I cannot even
see the message in the Sent Items folder. It is just a blank line
with the shaded horizontal bars that you see in the window pane. The
messages above and below can be seen normally. If I even position the
cursor over this file WITHOUT selecting it, I get an "Unknown error
3462" message. If I "Select All" messages in the Sent Items folder,
it will select the message in question, I cannot see it but the note
at the bottom left hand corner of the window says 3 of 3 files
selected. However, when I click on the trash can, I get the same
error messge and Entourage locks up and I have to Force Quit to get
out of the program. The Sent Items folder is also protected, so I
cannot delete the folder and then rename a new one. I am completely
baffled about how to get rid of this file.

Try rebuilding the database. If your in Entourage X, first go to Entourage
-> Turn Off Office Notifications. Now, quit Entourage, and then restart
Entourage holding down the Option key. When the Rebuild dialog box comes
up, choose to do a Typical Rebuild.

Then, re-launch Entourage, turn off the Preview Pane (View -> Preview Pane)
and delete the message.

You could try using the schedule (Tools -> Run Schedule -> Empty Deleted
Items Folder). Otherwise follow the procedure I recommended to Milli.
