Deleted IMAP mail keeps reappearing

Somehow the contents of my junk mail folder keeps reappearing after I delete
them all. Our IT says this is client issue. Any ideas?

I had the same problem. User had created a POP account
too and this caused some kind of problem. I had to
recreate the pop account and then delete mail. One
message was the cause.

Do you have a rule that moves mail to the Junk folder? If so, make sure the
first criterion of that rule is If Folder is INBOX

I also have the exact same problem.

Where do you set up this rule ? couldn't find it in Prefs or Account options.
