Thanks Paul, no it's not IMAP thing, I was just never aware that if you
delete a folder, it then becomes a subfolder of the deleted items folder. I
thought it would just show next to the deleted messages, which I delete
manually every week or so (everything older than one week)
Well, OK. But if you were to delete your messages by running Empty Deleted
Items Folder schedule (Tools/Run Schedule/Empty Deleted Items Folder) then,
yes, the deleted folders would also get deleted. It's only if you go into
the folder and select the messages, then click the Trash button or press
Delete key, that only the _selected_ items get purged. Since you haven't
selected any folders in there - since they aren't visible that way -
naturally they don't get deleted. Now you could go in to each subfolder and
do the same thing, but you'd still have empty subfolders remaining. The only
way to do it is run the schedule, and that will get rid of everything in one
fell swoop without any selecting.
