deleting email folder

How does one delete an email folder which the user
originally created? Right-clicking on such folders
doesn't bring up any option for deleting...

What version of Outlook and does pressing the delete button help? Are these
subfolders or default folders in a new personal folders store?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, KB asked:
