deleting email message

I have a message stuck in my outbox. I can't delete it.
When I try it says "mapi spooler has already begun to
transmit this message." I have done the detect and repair
function many times. It doesn't help. I am using
microsoft office 2000 on windows 98.

How about trying to move the mail message to another
folder?
Sometimes that makes it easier to delete the message.
