Deleting email

New to the forum.

In Entourage (Office 2004) v11.3.6 running Leopard. I cannot seem to delete certain emails in my inbox. I delete by right clicking then delete, by using the toolbar delete, by opening then deleting, flagging it as Junk then doing a delete, Moving to another folder. They remain in my inbox. I do a Purge Deleted items and they still remain.

The problem emails appear to be random (some corporate internal, some from outside, some SPAM that makes itself through).

Is there additional cleanup required?

Thanks for providing the additional info that you are using IMAP.

Try option-command-L. It does an (undocumented) "special" IMAP refresh.

Nothing to fix - occasionally (through network errors or something similar)
the message list in Entourage gets out of sync with the server. This just
re-aligns it.
