Deleting Outlook Archive

friend told me i could synch my home computer w/my office by archiving to zip drive and then doing a restore on home comp. didn't work, now have to have zip disk or it keeps calling for it on the office comp. can the archive either be re-directed to the hard drive or deleted completely.

can't seem to delete the archive folder(s) from within outlook.

located one archive file using dos prompt, but hesitate deleting.

It sounds like you forgot to close the folder set that is within the .pst file from within Outlook before you moved the file off your office computer. The next time you start it, it will be looking for the .pst file that no longer exists.

Also, you can't delete any .pst files that Outlook is using while it is open.

You can re-link any .pst files from within Outlook by accessing File -> Open -> Outlook Data File...
