Deleting SPAM

BAM

Hope someone can help with this one. Our office is on a Microsoft Exchange Server. Each user with Internet email accounts sets up their own filters for SPAM and so forth. The SPAM filter setup sends all emails identified as SPAM to a 'SPAM' folder. Well, one fellow employee has neglected to empty the SPAM folder out and it is now up to 28,000 messages. He can't simply send them to the trash bin because he holds other important messages in the trash bin (why, I don't know!) that can't be lost. Is there another way to purge these emails directly from the 'SPAM' folder, a subdirectory in the INBOX? Thank you in advance for any help.--BAM

He can use Shift+Delete, this will bypass the Deleted items folder but will
permanently delete the items unless the Exchange administrator has set up a
Deleted Item retention policy
