Since this is Office related, I will post my question here
to get help:
I have tried different ways to distribute/update Office XP
from admin point using SMS and encountered some problems:
The admin image is in another server.
1. I distribute a parkage just run setup.exe using a NT
client software installation account. It works fine.
2. I distribute a parkage with commandline setup.exe
TRANSFORMS='\\SERVER\MSOFFICE\OFFICEXP\Custom Setup
file.MST" /qb-. It started the program and then did not
install but have a popoup stating setup finished
successfuly. I looked at the Application event log it has:
Source: Userenv
Type: Error
Event ID: 1000
User: Local ComputerName\SMSCliToknLocalAcct&
Computer: Local ComputerName
Description: Windows cannot unload your registry class
file. If you have a roaming profiles your setting are not
replicated. Contact your administrator.
DETAIL: Access is denied. Build Number (2195).
I also tried to run the msiexec to recache and
reinstallation the new admin image to update the existing
clients, I got the same event error message.
